Help Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity understand your business: SEO/GEO management for China-based exporters

Lexoford GEO provides SEO and GEO management for China-based export companies. Over 90 days, we fix your English site's technical foundations, make product specifications readable, and expand citable overseas sources in three phases, then track monthly how your brand appears in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI assistants. We do not guarantee rankings or citations.

We fix the crawling and indexing foundations of your English site, turn product specifications locked in images and PDFs into page text, align your English company details and expand the overseas sources that can be cited. Then, each month, we use the same set of English questions to record how the AI assistants overseas buyers use describe you, and whether they confuse you with a namesake. We don't promise rankings, recommendations or citations; we improve the conditions for being understood and cited.

Start by checking whether range, accuracy and media compatibility fit your application, and whether certification documents are publicly available [1]. You can also compare lead times and after-sales terms [2].

  2. [2]directory-b.example.comExample industry directory · supplier listing page
  3. [3]supplier-c.example.comExample supplier C · company news page
  • Adopted: the numbers [1] and [2] in the answer map to the page at the same position in the source list
  • Retrieved only: [3] appears only in the source list, with no matching number in the answer

Google Search (including Google AI Overviews) and Bing are also covered.

ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity names and logos belong to their respective owners and are shown only to indicate the AI assistants we observe and optimize for. 01

Why overseas buyers searching for suppliers in ChatGPT may not see you

The issue is often not how much you promote, but whether Google and AI assistants can find, understand and verify your English information. These are situations we commonly see at export companies.

  • You don't know whether overseas AI can read you.

When buyers use ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews to find suppliers, you can't tell whether your English site is read, or how it is described.

  • Specs locked in images and PDFs.

The English site is thin, and product specifications sit in images or PDFs that search engines struggle to crawl and understand.

  • Your English brand name gets confused.

Your name overlaps with similar or identical overseas brands, and AI may mistake you for another company.

  • Chinese and English sites are not linked.

The two sites don't reference each other, and the same product shows different specifications.

  • Overseas results are hard to verify.

Testing overseas engines and checking results from a China-based team is slow and costly.

Most of these issues can be diagnosed and fixed. We start with the basics: content that is readable and verifiable.

02

Export work: an English question set, international engines, overseas sources

The method is the same as for domestic work (frozen question set, four tiers, two citation levels, growth and defense questions kept apart), but the question set, engines and sources are designed separately for overseas markets.

  • Frozen English question set

built around what overseas buyers actually ask, such as "who supplies this product" or "how do I choose a manufacturer", plus fact-check questions that include your English brand name. Wording is fixed; changes create a new version.

  • International engines

the monitored engines are ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with entry point, displayed model version, web search status and login state recorded.

  • Target markets

North America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The question set is built around how buyers in these markets ask.

  • Search foundations

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

  • Entity clarity

verifiable details such as your full English company name, location and main products aligned across your website, structured data and third-party profiles, to help machines tell you apart from namesakes.

  • Overseas sources

overseas industry directories, trade-show listings and similar, where relevant.

  2. 2

    Days 31–60

  4. ↻

    Then monthly

    Monitor and improve

04

Monthly records of how AI assistants describe you to overseas buyers

After the first 90 days, monitoring continues monthly. The aim is not a score, but a clear account of what changed, what is wrong, and what to do next.

  • Fixed question set, fixed engines

the frozen English question set is sampled and recorded on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

  • Consistent judging

every question on every engine is recorded with a tier and a citation level; growth and defense questions are reported separately.

  • Extra checks on defense questions

whether English company details and specifications are accurate, whether you are confused with an overseas namesake, and whether your official pages are cited.

  • Each report covers

changes against the baseline, pending items, a list of incorrect statements with suggested corrections, next month's content actions, and screenshot evidence for every record.

  • Search side

changes in Google Search Console indexing, impressions and clicks are included.

05

What you receive

  • English-site technical audit and issue list

    prioritised P0 / P1 / P2.

  • Fix verification log

what was changed, when, and how it was checked.

  • Frozen English question set (versioned)

fixed wording; changes create a new version.

  • Baseline report

the full record of the first sampling round.

  • English page templates and structured data

definition-first intros, HTML spec tables, FAQs and matching JSON-LD.

  • Chinese–English specification consistency log and hreflang setup

  • llms.txt / robots.txt / sitemap recommendations and launch checks

  • Third-party profile checklist

information on overseas industry directories, trade-show listings and similar platforms that needs aligning or updating.

  • Monthly AI visibility report

with screenshot evidence and Google Search Console data.

Case studies in preparation. Each case will be published only with the client's written consent; until then, this page shows no client names, cases or testimonials.

06

Who this is for, and who it isn't for

A good fit

  • Export companies with an English site (or planning one) that they can open up for editing, or whose web vendor can help us change it
  • Companies willing to supply real English material, specification sheets and certificates, and have someone who knows the products review content
  • Companies comfortable with monthly observation and step-by-step improvement
  • Companies that also run a Chinese site and need consistent Chinese and English information
  • Companies exporting mainly to North America, Europe, the Middle East or Southeast Asia

Not a good fit

  • Companies that require guaranteed Google rankings, AI recommendations, inquiries or traffic
  • Companies looking for mass-produced low-quality English content, fake engagement or fake reviews
  • Companies that cannot provide any material or website access
  • Companies that only want a one-off report with no ongoing changes

FAQ for exporters

Can you guarantee a high Google ranking, or citations by ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity?

No. Search rankings, and the sources AI engines choose, are decided by each platform. What we can do is put the conditions for being read and verified in place, and record changes honestly.

How soon will we see changes?

The first month sets the baseline; after that we compare month by month. After technical fixes, changes in Google indexing are usually observed over a window of weeks to months; answers from AI assistants change less predictably. We give observation windows, not promised dates or outcomes.

How do you measure results in AI assistants used by overseas buyers?

We use a frozen English question set and sample it on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Each answer is recorded on four tiers (recommended / mentioned only / not mentioned / pending) and two citation levels (adopted / retrieved only), with the entry point, displayed model version, web search status and login state noted, plus a screenshot. Growth and defense questions are reported separately.

What search data do you look at?

Indexing, impressions and clicks from Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

What do you need from us?

Admin and DNS access for your English site (or a contact at your web vendor), English product material and specification sheets, certificates, permission for any case material that can be made public, review time from someone who knows the products, and verification of your Google and Bing accounts.

Our product specifications are all in PDFs and images. What can you do?

We turn the key specifications into a specification table on the web page, as plain text, and keep the PDF as a download. Your engineers check the figures before anything is published.

Our English brand name is shared by an overseas company. What can you do?

We use defense questions to check whether AI confuses you with the other company, and we align verifiable details such as your full company name, location and main products across your website, structured data and third-party profiles, to help machines tell you apart. How each engine identifies you is up to that engine; we record what we observe.

Should we merge our Chinese and English sites?

Not necessarily. A common approach is to keep separate URLs, link them with hreflang, and keep specifications for the same product consistent. The exact approach is decided in the first phase, based on your current site structure.

Will you change our website?

Only according to a list we both confirm, with a verification record for every item. Anything that needs support from your platform or web vendor is confirmed before we change it.

Can we do only export, without the domestic market?

Yes. The question set and phase plan are designed for overseas markets only. If you later add the domestic market, we set up a separate Chinese question set and baseline.

Start with an export diagnostic conversation

Tell us your English website and main export markets. We'll first look at your English site's crawl foundations and how product specifications are presented, then talk through what can be changed, what we'd need from you, and whether the 90-day program suits you. The conversation comes with no promise of results.
